Local Activities

Nordice Center: Open at Timber Ridge, TC, all
winter. Hosted by Brick Wheels, the shop will
include snowshoe and ski rentals, lessons and
more.

Alert Cab:
Drunk driving reduction initiative in
Grand Traverse County and Cadillac running Dec.
20-31 from 6pm-2am; and NYE until 4am. Does
NOT subsitute safe driving. Courtesy of participating

Holiday Festival of Lights:
A variety of lighted
trees and displays are viewable at the Grand
Traverse Resort, now through Jan. 2. Includes live
entertainment in the lobby (select dates/times),

the parking lot.

Cool Jazz & Art: Featuring art by Rick Daigh and a

Movies for the Mind: "Peace Through Music," a
film about connection through music from around
the world, showing at "The Old Phart" Building,

Free Holiday Snowshoe Hikes: Burn some calories
by hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes National
Lakeshore. Meet at the Visitor Center in Empire,
1pm. Hike led by park rangers, covering no more
than 1.5 miles. Rent a pair of snowshoes for free.

Silent Movie Double Feature: "Along Came
Auntie" and "Love 'em and Weep" will play at First
