Author Signing: Jane Knuth, author of "Thirft Store
Saints," -- a collection of true stories about Knuth's
experiences serving the poor at a St. Vincent de Paul

Madrigals Feast: Hosted by Petoskey High
School, featuring a performance and four-course
dinner. Held at Stafford's Perry Hotel, Petoskey,

Winter Solstice Eclipse: View the total lunar
eclipse at Headlands in northern Emmet County,
happening at 1:30am. Arrive between 11pm-midnight.

THURSDAY 12/23
Lil Bo New Years Eve Party: The Bohemians perform
at Lil Bo Pub & Grille, in downtown TC, from
8:30pm-midnight. Includes party favors, dancing
and toast n toss -- which involves a champagne
toast on the deck, followed by tossing cherries into
the parking lot.

SATURDAY 12/25
Community Christmas Dinner: Dinner served at
Trinity Lutheran Church, TC, from 1-3pm. For info

SUNDAY 12/26
Cool Jazz & Art: Featuring art by Rick Daigh and a
musical performance by the Jeff Haas Trio with guest
vocalist Rachel Borovik at Chateau Chantal, TC, 3-
5:30pm. No admission charge.

Movies for the Mind: "Peace Through Music," a
film about connection through music from around
the world, showing at "The Old Phart" Building,
Cadillac, at 6pm. Includes the film short "The
Omagh Community Youth Choir." Movies followed
by discussion. $5 cover.

Free Holiday Snowshoe Hikes: Burn some calories
by hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes National
Lakeshore. Meet at the Visitor Center in Empire,
1pm. Hike led by park rangers, covering no more
than 1.5 miles. Rent a pair of snowshoes for free.

Silent Movie Double Feature: "Along Came
Auntie" and "Love 'em and Weep" will play at First
Congregational Church, TC, at 7pm. Hosted by the
Music House Museum. Cost, $10 for adults; $5 for
kids. Family, $25.

The Dead Ovaries: Trio from TC, who've been
touring around Chicago, will perform a homecoming
concert at the InsideOut Gallery, TC, at 8pm.
