RECESS: After-work business networking and
social opportunity at Corky's Wine Bar & Beach

"All the Way from Michigan, Not Mars": Film
about one artist's creative process as songwriter
and musician. Hosted by ISLAND and Parkside

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser: For Area 32 Special
Olympics at the Bear Claw, Cadillac, from 6-7pm.

"Eye of the Needle": WWII thriller, based on
the novel by Ken Follett, showing at the Alden
Community Center, 7pm. Soup & bread served at

Old Mission Historical Society: Monthly meeting
that will include a program on the history of the
Mission Point Lighthouse and its keepers. Held at
the Peninsula Township Hall, TC, 7pm.

Business Before Hours: Big Boy Restaurant,
Petoskey, at 7am. Presentation by Erika Van Dam
of the Health Department will discuss the new
smoke-free Air Law going into effect May 1.

A Sense of Space: GT Land Conservancy engagment
coordinator Lee Maynard will facilitate
an audience-driven discussion on community
development regarding park space. Held at the

Author Presentation: Tom Weschler, author of
"Travelin' Man: On the Road and Behind the
Scenes with Bob Seger" will be at the Traverse
Area District Library, 7pm. No charge.

"The Horse Boy": True story of one family's quest
to seak treatment for their son who has autism.
The couple discovers the boy's connection with
horses, and, as a result, an understanding of
their son's life. Showing at the Dennos Museum
Center, TC, at 7pm. Free of charge.

Ukrainian Eggs: Egg decorating demo at the
Traverse Area District Library, 6-8pm.
Peninsula Community Library, TC, at 7pm. Free.


FRIDAY 4/2
"Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas": Part of the
Cinema Curiousa Film Series, at the Traverse Area
District Library, at 8pm. Free of charge. Rated R.

Potluck & Nature Hike: Bring a dish to pass, 6pm;
then take a hike through Wagbo Farm's scenic property.

No Egg Left Behind: Easter egg hunt and
"Unscramble" in downtown Cadillac. Find eggs
hidden around the town. Kids will look for eggs to

SATURDAY 4/3
Easter Egg Hunt: Held Elberta Waterfront Park, at
10am. Easter Bunny will be available for pictures at
9:30am in Frankfort. Bring a basket or bag for eggs.

Kid's Day: Indoor activities at the Great Indoor
Farmers Market, 10am-2pm, at the Village of the
Grand Traverse Commons. Registration starts at
11:30am, with an Easter egg hunt, Easter Bunny visit,
egg decorating, face painting, games and crafts.

Sleeping Bear Dunes Hike: Meet at the Visitors
Center on M-72, Empire, at 11am; and enjoy a hike
and picnic on the three-mile loop. 231-620-3543.

6th-8th Grade Dance: Hosted by the Grand
Traverse Bay YMCA, 7-10pm, at 3000 Racquet
Club Drive. This month's theme is "70s Boogie 'N
Disco." Admission is $5 for non Y-members. Call
