at the Traverse Area District Library, Sat., 9am-

Annual Truman Dinner: Hosted by the Grand
Traverse County Democrats at the Elks Lodge,
TC, at 6pm. Special guest Mark Brewer, Chair of
the Michigan Democratic Party. Suggested $40

Edible Fall Mushrooms: Taste local culinary
samples and learn to discern the bounty of edible
mushrooms at the Boardman River Nature Center,

Show Your Colors Motorcycle Show/Poker Run:
Held at the Elks Lodge, Charlevoix, starting with the
bike show at 9am; blessing of the bikes, 11:30am;
poker run starts at noon. Event includes a pig roast,

Taste of Harbor Springs: Sample local foods at
the waterfront next to Stafford's Pier Restaurant,

43rd Fall Symphony Home Tour: Presented by
the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, featuring six
homes throughout the Grand Traverse region,

Benzie County Playboys: CD release party,

Esperanza 5k and Fiesta 2010: Walk or run 3.1
miles at the Grand Traverse Commons, starting at

"Come Fly with Me": Concert with Grand Traverse

Biketemberfest: Bike ride 44 miles, starting and
ending at Boyne Highlands Resort. This non-competitive
event features vista overlooks, rolling hills
and resort activities all weekend. Come check

Silent Movies: "Liberty" and "We Faw Down" will
be playing at the Music House Museum, Acme,

Quilt-a-Thon: Donated to Quilters Against Cancer
and hosted by InterQuilten in Interlochen, from
9:30am-6pm. QAC assists women with breast
cancer who are also uninsured. Event includes
light lunch and refreshments. Door prizes awarded

5th Annual Fall Fundraiser Dinner: Live music,
wild game dinner, cash bar and more! Held at Mt.
