TC READS 2010: Join other Traverse City residents
for the community book read of "Dreamers
of the Day," by Mary Doria Russell -- the novel set
against the influenza epidemic of 1917 and the life
of one woman.

Three Swords Fencing Club: Tuesday &
Thursdays, 6-8pm, at the Civic Center basketball
courts in TC (weather permitting). Learn more about

through the Sleeping Bear Dunes National
Lakeshore, Empire, with a focus on invasive species.

Pepsi Refresh Project: Vote at refresheverything.
com/grandtraverseandleelanaulaundryprograms
to vote for the five site operation program that
provides laundry machines/services to area families
living in poverty. Voting ends Sept. 30.

Third Level Crisis Center Fundraiser: Help raise
$7,000 for transitional living apartments for area
youth coming out of foster care or homelessness.
Visit Fazoli's in TC, for a Family Feast dinner,
now through Oct. 1. $5 of each purchase goes
toward the Third Level project. Print off the flyer
at thirdlevel.org.

Save a Smile: Bring adult toothbrushes, toothpaste
or floss to Traverse Health Clinic, WLJN
Radio, Tom's Food Markets or Northwestern Bank
in Benzie, Grand Traverse or Leelanau County.
Help fulfill the dental needs of the community.
Make a donation and register to win a January
weekend of fun at Crystal Mountain. Happening

Baptism Dresses Exhibit: Featuring pieces from

Historical Walking Tours: Experience walks
through historical neighborhoods of Traverse City
with the Grand Traverse Heritage Center, every
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 1pm. Walks last
